Cancer has affected the lives of many people that I love. Being diagnosed can be one of, if not the most, difficult times in your life. Everything changes, and there are so many fears, and questions, and HOPES.

That is why I decided to pursue advanced education with Memorial Sloan Kettering, one of the premier cancer hospitals in the country. I am now recommended by them as a specialist in oncology acupuncture.

Acupuncture cannot cure cancer. If you suspect you may have cancer or have been diagnosed, I urge you to seek care with an MD. However, acupuncture and Chinese medicine can be a great adjunct therapy and help to boost energy, alleviate anxiety, as well as ease the side effects of radiation and chemotherapy, like pain, burns, and nausea.

I recently finished 3 weeks of radiation for breast cancer…After the radiation I started to feel the effects of it, and in one area I was so sore I couldn't touch it.  The doctor said it was probably inflammation…
Tamara did an acupuncture treatment on me that she said would take heat away from my body. When I finished, and got to my car, I felt the area.  There was no pain, it was like magic!  All day I kept rubbing the area to see when the pain would return, but it never did. I could also SEE the results in that my skin (which looks like a bad sunburn after radiation), began to heal much more quickly than it had been before the acupuncture.

Whether your needs are emotional or physical, I am here to work with you and your doctor to support your care, and YOU as a whole person. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!
