Every experience of the last 50 years, the wild, weird, woeful, and wonderful, has led me to this moment and the privilege of supporting my community’s physical and emotional health.

Despite what someone may have told you, you didn't “manifest” your illness. For gosh sake, babies don’t cause their own cancer! But sometimes, our bodies and minds can struggle to process unbalanced input, from wonky genetics, to chemicals, to late nights, to trauma, to infection. Humans have always had someone in the community to serve as a guide to bring us back to ourselves. Today, as, a licensed practitioner with boat loads of personal, professional, and academic experience, I hope to help you find your way towards healing.

I am human, which means, I’ve made a lot of mistakes, have caused hurt and been hurt, been bruised and broken in both body and spirit. When people tell me, “Everything happens for a reason,“ I think, “No, it doesn’t. But, we can choose to make meaning from the things that happen.”

I’ve been a runaway, an activist, a performer, a teacher, a writer, a mother of four (now ages 20-32), and part of the first queer couple to fight for and get married housing at American Jewish University. I’ve survived sepsis, tumors, surgeries, divorce, a doctoral program, navigated disabling mitochondrial disease, and in 2023, a massive sudden unexplained brain hemorrhage which caused violent seizures, shattered part of my spine and arm, and put me in a wheel chair with trouble speaking for months.

Acupuncture and herbal medicine have been a huge part of my recovery (along with supportive family and community, good doctors and western medicine)and are why I was well enough to begin doing the work I love again .

I have seen the power of this medicine work repeatedly in my own life, and over the past 13 years (3 as an intern, 10 in private practice) and that is why I am so passionate about sharing it with you.

Treating someone as a whole person is the first step towards healing. Acupuncture works even in awful settings, but it works so much better when we are listened to, heard, understood, and empowered. It is a privilege to create a safe and beautiful environment and hold space for you.
