LGBTQIA2S+ SUPPORT

At Acupunktrix, everyone is not only welcomed, but enthusiastically embraced, no matter their orientation, gender, or sexuality. As a queer mother of queer and trans kids, LGBTQ2S+ health is very dear to me. For those going through gender transition, I have created trans-friendly intake forms, and can help support hormonal, physical, and emotional changes at every point of your transition. Chinese medicine is uniquely suited to treating a whole spectrum of gender presentations, as we treat “yin and yang” which everyone has in different levels in their bodies at different times. According to classic texts all things contain yin and yang (sometimes seen as feminine and masculine, estrogen and testosterone, dark and light etc). Yin and yang each contain the seeds of one another, can transform into one another, and are constantly shifting. We help you by strengthening the yin or yang that you need to help look and feel like yourself. Herbal formulas that naturally provide hormonal support may also be prescribed, and trans bodies and experiences are valued and celebrated.

Queer families can find a comfortable home here for any stage of life, and free community acupuncture nights for trans/non-binary folks are offered occasionally. Follow Acupunktrix on Instagram for more details.
